CUTTING TOOLS FOR WOOD

For years I was under the impression PCD saw blades were “not for me”, how wrong was I! As an example, if we take the average angle plant running cutting patterns on two axis, you will need  a minimum of 3 sets of blades (main and scorer) for each axis in stock at all times. Each set will last a few days between servicing, and each will be serviced about 5 times before they are scrap. Therefore it is safe to assume each set will last say 4 to 5 weeks in total. This suggests, conservatively speaking,  over a 12 month period, you will need say at least 6 sets to last minimum. A decent set of blades will cost £250, x 5 = £1500. Then we have servicing costs and downtime for a blade change at least once per week. Did you know, and I we can prove it, a set of PCD sizing blades could cost as little as £1200. They could last up to 3 years without changing! You could see an extra 2 hours cutting time per week for 3 years! No servicing cost! No worries!  We have blades suitable for most machines and you can apply the same rules even on the smallest dim bench.

WE also have a full range of TCT blades from Swedex, Kanefusa and Stehle. We have bandsaws and resaw blades to any specification.
